Diocesan Centenary Year

Beginning in November the Diocese of Lancaster will have a series of celebrations to give thanks to God for the 100 years of its existence.

In preparation, 40 Hours of Adoration in the Cathedral.

Times:

  • Thur 21st Nov 4pm - 12 Midnight;

  • Fri 22nd 5am - 12 Midnight

  • Sat 23rd 5am - 6pm, concluding with Benediction.

The Centenary year commences on Sunday 24 November:

The official beginning of these celebrations will be on the feast of Christ the King, 24th November, with the Bishop celebrating our 10.30am Mass. Vespers will also be celebrated by the Bishop in the Cathedral at 4pm.

The Centenary Mass for our Deanery with the Bishop on Sun 7 Sept 2025, 3pm at Cleator.
