How to make a regular offertory donation by bank standing order

Using internet banking, you will need the following details:

  • Account name: LRCDTR

  • 8-digit account number: 01338234

  • 6-digit sort code: 40-27-02

  • Payment reference: Your surname

  • Date of first payment/frequency of payment: Monthly is most common but any frequency you choose is fine.

Ann will pick up the details from the Parish bank statement but it is also helpful if you send an email to let her know that you have set up a standing order. (Note If you would like to make a regular offertory donation by envelope, please contact Ann on the link above and she will be able to help.)


About Gift Aid

If you are a tax payer every gift you make to the parish - whatever its value - could be worth more at no extra cost to you just by choosing to Gift Aid it. HMRC will add an extra 25p to every £1 you give.

Gift Aid can be applied whether you pay by cash each week or by standing order through the bank.

If you make a cash donation each week - contact Ann to set up weekly yellow envelopes so that we can identify your gift..

NOTES

  1. A Gift Aid donor must be a UK taxpayer and pay an amount if income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax reclaimed on all their Gift Aid donations to all charities in any one tax year. At the current basic rate of tax 20%, for every £1 donated charities can reclaim 25p.It is the responsibilty of the donor to pay any shortfall.

  2. This parish is part of the Diocese of Lancaster and a record of your personal information and donations will be held by the Diocese and stored securely on the Diocese’s database. We do not transfer your data to third parties to use for their own marketing or fundraising purposes. We (your parish office and the Diocese) will use your details to administer your gifts. This may include sharing your information with external organisations working on our behalf such as IT support companies, or when required by law (e.g. to claim Gift Aid). See the Diocesan Privacy Policy for full details of how your personal data is used.

You must notify the parish if you:

  • want to cancel your Gift Aid declaration

  • change your name or home address

  • no longer pay sufficient income and/or capital gains tax.
