DIOCESAN EVENTS in our Centenary Year and for the Jubilee Year of the Church 2025 - ‘Pilgrims of Hope’:
Feast of our Lady of Lourdes, Patroness of the Diocese: Tuesday 11 February – Mass at 12.15pm & Vespers at 6pm with the Bishop in Lancaster Cathedral.
Rite of Election will take place on Saturday 8 March with the Bishop at 2pm in Lancaster Cathedral, for those entering the Church at Easter.
The Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes: 23-30 July 2025. Led by Bishop Paul Swarbrick.
In this Jubilee Holy Year ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, and the Centenary of the Lancaster Diocese, Bishop Paul invites everyone to come on the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. In line with the Jubilee Year, the theme for Lourdes 2025 is: ‘With Mary, Pilgrims of Hope”. The year is an invitation to share the hope of the Christian Faith. The Jubilee Year suggestions include going on Pilgrimage.
