Thurs 13 Mar ~ PPC meeting in Appleby

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL (PPC): The next meeting is on Thursday 13 March in the meeting room at Our Lady of Appleby at 7.30pm. The idea being that our recently formed PPC for the new parish, which meets three times a year, would hold its meetings at each church venue in turn, at least for the first year.

The membership of the PPC is listed on the noticeboards. Each church has a Representative:

Penrith - Sue Chandler

Appleby & Kirkby Stephen - Steve Ivinson

Alston - Jeanette Haslam

If you have anything for discussion at the PPC, please contact your Representative or one of the clergy by the weekend prior to the meeting.

There will be Mass at Our Lady of Appleby before the meeting at 7pm to which all parishioners are welcome (this replaces the 7pm Thursday Mass at St. Catherine’s that evening).

PRACTICAL MANAGEMENT GROUP (covering all 3 church premises) meets at the Haydock Centre (main room) this Tuesday 25 Feb at 3.15pm. If you have practical skills and experience, including IT, and time to offer the parish, please contact Martin Oakley or Fr. John for more information.
